PADI SELF RELIANT DIVER
The purpose of the Self-Reliant Diver specialty course is to recognize and accept the role of the buddy system and its contributions to diver safety, while identifying and developing self-reliance and independence while diving.
THE FUN PART
When the buddy system works, it works well, but many divers are often left in precarious situations by a bad diving partner. The purpose of the Self-Reliant Diver program is to provide exposure to the skills needed to extricate oneself from such a situation and to emphasize the importance of proper dive planning as a means to avoid such situations in the first instance.
WHAT YOU LEARN
During the Self Reliant Diver Course you will learn:
- Potential risk of diving alone
- Value of equipment and necessary back-up gear
- Develop skills for self-reliance and independence
YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE
